Rinku Singh Took Full Advantage Of The Opportunity He Got

Meanwhile, in this season of IPL, young batsman Rinku Singh, who has been associated with Kolkata Knight Riders for the last several seasons, also got a chance to show his talent. Rinku Singh took full advantage of this opportunity.

For the first time in the year 2018, Rinku Singh of Uttar Pradesh was selected by Kolkata Knight Riders in their team. After which KKR kept Rinku Singh with their team but gave him only 10 matches to play from 2018 to 2021 season.

In this IPL season too, Rinku Singh had to sit on the bench for half the journey but after that Rinku Singh showed his talent on the occasion he got. He scored 174 runs in 7 matches played in this season with a strike rate of close to 148.

Rinku Singh ‘s knock of 40 runs in just 15 balls in the last and last match of this season against Lucknow Supergiants took KKR almost to the destination of victory. KKR lost by 2 runs in this match, but they have won everyone’s heart after this attacking innings.

Brendon McCullum Happy With Rinku Singh’s Batting

Now Kolkata Knight Riders coach Brendon McCullum has also become convinced of Rinku Singh. After the final match of this season, Brendon McCullum said, “Rinku has done an amazing job this season. There is no doubt that Kolkata will definitely invest in them in the coming times. Not only this, Rinku will perform even better in the coming times.

McCullum further said that,  “There are very few players who can come in the middle order and bat like this and on their own can lead the team to victory. Rinku has done this for us 2-3 times. He is a very good player and I am very happy with him.”
