KKR And MI Players Fined For Misconduct After Yesterday’s Match

Kolkata Knight Riders won their fourth match in IPL tomorrow. KKR won the match by five wickets after Pat Cummins hit an unbeaten 56 off 15 balls to allow the two-time champions to chase Mumbai Indians’ 162-run target in 15 overs.

But Kolkata Knight Riders batsman Nitish Rana was fined 10 per cent of his match fee for violating the code of conduct in the match and Mumbai Indians fast bowler, Jaspreet Bumrah was warned.

Both the cricketers were part of the KKR vs MI IPL match at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Wednesday.

It’s like a boil on the knees. Mumbai Indians bowler Jaspreet Bumrah was punished this time after losing to Kolkata. However, Kolkata Knight Riders batsman Nitish Rana has also been punished.

Two cricketers have broken the rules of IPL. So they have been warned along with financial fines.

According to the IPL, Bumrah broke the rules of the competition during the Kolkata -Mumbai match. He has committed a crime under Section 1 of the IPL Code of Conduct. Bumrah has admitted that.

After that, 10 per cent of his match fee has been deducted. Bumrah has also been verbally warned.

In the same way, KKR’s Batsman Nitish Rana has also committed an offence under Section 1 of the IPL Code of Conduct.

So the officials warned him after the match. The batsman has also been deducted 10 per cent of the match fee. This left-handed batsman has admitted his guilt. 

The IPL did not say exactly what rules Bumrah and Nitish broke. However, it is believed that they got involved in an argument while on the field or while dugout.

That incident did not go unnoticed by the officials. As a result, two cricketers have to be punished.

The statement made revealed that “for a Level One violation of the Code of Conduct, the match referee’s decision is final and binding.

The official statement did not provide any details on the incident, for which Runner was fined and Boomer was reprimanded.
