KASIGO RABADA OUT OF ENGLAND ODI SERIES DUE TO INJURY

Kasigo Rabada, South Africa’s fast pace bowler has been ruled out of the One Day International series against England. The player suffered a groin injury which has resulted him out of the series. 

Consequences

Rabada had suffered a right hip strain. It is anticipated that the player will take about three weeks to recover from the injury. The player has been advised to take rest until he recovers from the injury and has been released from the squad for the England tour. He played two T20 matches against England where South Africa lost. Out of the two matches that he played, he just picked 1 wicket. 

The player could not play in the third match of the series against England at Cape Town. A two-match test series against Shri Lanka is going to start from December 26 to January 7, which will be hosted by South Africa. 

Rabada is expected to be seen playing in the series.

Kasigo Rabada lastly played in the Indian Premier League for Delhi Capitals where he took 30 wickets in 17 matches and won the purple cap. He played a vital role in the league. 

For the first time in the history of Indian Premier League, the team made it to the finals of the tournament. The team finished as runners-up in the tournament as they lost the final against Mumbai Indian. 

Incidentally, the player suffered a back injury post the 2019 IPL as well.

South Africa lost all the three T20s against England. The first match of the three-match One Day International series between the two will be played on Friday. The match will be played in Cape Town. There won’t be any fast bowler for the England team too.
