IPL 2021: Updated Points Table, Orange Cap, Purple Cap After Match 11

In the 14th season of the Indian Premier League, so far 11 matches have been concluded and all the teams were seen giving their best in the matches. Though some teams did very well while some couldn’t, that’s how it works.

The last match of the Indian Premier League was played between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals which was played in Mumbai. Delhi Capitals won the match chasing the Kings’ score of 195 runs, thanks to the Shikhar Dhawan’s outstanding 92 off 49 balls.

Punjab Kings came to bat first and scored 195 runs in 20 overs at a loss of 4 wickets. KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal performed very well in the match. KL Rahul scored 61 runs in 51 balls with 9 boundaries while Mayank Agarwal scored 69 runs in 36 balls with 11 boundaries.

As the Punjab team was performing, it looked like they won’t stop before 230-240. But fortunately, things worked out well for the Capitals as both the openers got out and they stopped the team at 195.

However, Delhi Capitals chased the score with 10 balls to spare. From the Capitals, Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw came to open and they partnered for 59 runs before Prithvi Shaw got out.

Though Dhawan was in no mood to go back to the pavilion. He kept on the hitting and scored 92 runs in 49 balls. With Dhawan’s brilliant performance, he got the first position in the top scorers’ list and got the Orange Cap.

After the 11 matches of the Indian Premier League, the Royal Challengers Bangalore team tops the chart with 3 wins and zero losses. Second, on the list is Delhi Capitals with 2 wins and 1 loss.

Next in the list are Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Punjab Kings, and Sunrisers Hyderabad as per their ranks respectively. SRH team is at the bottom of the points table with 3 losses and no win.

Talking about the top batsmen, Shikhar Dhawan is at the top with 186 runs in three matches. The second is Glenn Maxwell who’s just 10 runs behind Dhawan and the next is KL Rahul with 157 runs.

Among the bowlers, RCB’s Harshal Patel is the Orange Cap holder with 9 wickets, second is Rahul Chahar from MI with 7, and then Avesh Khan from DC with 6 wickets.

So, do you think Shikhar Dhawan and Harshal Patel will be able to hold their top positions throughout the tournament?
