IPL 2021 – Top Five Records of the Universal Boss, Chris Gayle in the IPL history

  • 175 Runs – The highest individual score in the Indian Premier League belongs to Christopher Henry Gayle. The Universal Boss scored this mammoth personal score of 175 runs from just 66 deliveries against Pune Warriors India. He smashed 17 sixes and 13 boundaries in this innings. His side Royal Challengers Bangalore also scored the highest total in this game, which remains the same.  
  • Most Sixes in an innings – This record also belongs to the Universal Boss, Chris Gayle. When he scored his personal highest score of 175 runs against Pune Warriors India, Gayle had smashed 17 sixes to his name, which is the most by any player in this history of the Indian Premier League. Brendon McCullum is the second player to hit more sixes than Gayle. The Kiwi opener had played an unbelievable knock of unbeaten 158 runs, which had lit up the IPL 2008 season. Baz had smashed 13 sixes in that innings against RCB.
  • 30 Ball Hundred For Gayle – The knock of 175 runs broke many records of the IPL. It is incredible that how just one inning could make and break so many records of a T20 tournament. On his way to scoring the highest score in the IPL, Gayle also smashed the tournament’s fastest hundred. He took just 30 deliveries to reach this milestone. Yusuf Pathan stands second in the list of scoring the fastest century. Yusuf did this magic against Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2010 season.
  • 349 Maximums for Gayle – We all know that Chris Gayle can hit sixes with ease. The West Indian explosive opener has hit the most sixes to his name in the IPL history. Gayle has smashed 349 sixes till now, and Punjab Kings will want to continue his six-hitting form in IPL 2021 season to be closer to winning the title this year. South Africa’s AB De Villiers has the second most sixes in the tournament. ABD has smashed 235 sixes in the IPL so far.  
  • Six Tons for Gayle in IPL – Chris Gayle’s magical top five records end with most centuries of his IPL career. The Universal Boss has smashed six of them already, which is the most by any play in this T20 league tournament. The Indian and RCB Captain Virat Kohli has Five tons in the IPL, and AB De Villiers is the third player in the list of most centuries in IPL. ABD has scored three tons in his career so far. RCB and PKBS need tons from their key players to star in IPL 2021 season. Kohli and ABD are the most valuable players for RCB. Chris Gayle is the same for Punjab Kings.
