Kings XI Punjab who have changed their name to Punjab Kings this season, have very high expectations of winning the title this year. The team has never won the Indian Premier League finals in the past.
It was just one time that they reached the finals in the year 2014 where they lost the finals to the KKR team. The team did score well but the odds didn’t work in their favor.
The team will be led by Indian batsman KL Rahul who is a very good player. Though he couldn’t play well in the last season this time the team is expecting a lot from him.

KL Rahul – KL Rahul, the captain of the team is the most anticipated player to perform brilliantly in this season and show some great performances in the matches.
Last year, Rahul could score only 670 runs in the 14 matches. According to the reports, the reason for Rahul’s poor performance was the team’s middle order. The middle order of the team was not good and hence Rahul had to keep his wicket safe because of which he couldn’t play aggressively.
Chris Gayle – The West Indies player always raises the expectations in whichever team he plays.
Gayle is one of the most aggressive players in the tournament and when he starts hitting, it’s very hard to stop him. Gayle has put on the show many times in the past and this year too, the team is expecting the same from him.
Nicholas Pooran – Another West Indies player Nicholas Pooran, the young talent is also a brilliant player when it comes to batting. Pooran is also a very good fielder and very quick to save the boundaries. Unfortunately, he was placed at a lower number in the squad because of which he couldn’t play much.
Mohammad Shami – Shami is one of the underrated players of the Indian Cricket team. He is one of the best bowlers that team India has ever produced. Shami is very good at taking the wickets and hopefully show his magic in this season of the IPL.
