After India lost the first test against England which was played at M. A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai where India lost the match by 227 runs, the second test is all set to be played at an all-new stadium in India. Yes, you read it right, after six long years there will be an international match played again in Ahmedabad.
There are possibilities that there won’t be any third test after the second. The second test will start on the 24th of this month.
The match will be played at Sardar Patel Stadium in Motera. Currently, it is the world’s largest cricket stadium with a capacity of around 110000 people. Earlier the stadium had a capacity of 55000 people, but it got demolished and rebuilt as a big one. It was inaugurated last month and one of the most exciting things is that people will be allowed to see the match unlike the first one where there was no crowd.
