IND vs ENG 2nd ODI, Yesterday Match Result, Highlights: England Win By 100 Runs Thanks To Reece Topley’s six-wicket Haul

In the second ODI contested at the Lord’s Cricket Ground, India were out at 146 as England’s fast bowler Reece Topley took 6 wickets to level the series 1-1.

While India was chasing the total of 247 runs, they were bowled out in 38.5 overs at 146. Topley returned with  the best figures by an England bowlers ever at Lords with six for 24,

Reece Topley (9.5-2-24-6) finished off the final two Indian wickets in four balls to bowl out the visitors for 146 in the 39th over as England registered a thumping 100-run victory at Lord’s. 

Yuzvendra Chahal was the star performer who contributed most with the ball to dismiss England at 247 by his four wicket haul.

England had a strong start with openers Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow.after they were put to bat. 

However, Hardik Padya gave India an edge after he dismissed Roy. followed by Chahal who dismissed Bairstow.

In Spite of Jos Buttler being castled by Mohammed Shami, Moeen Ali and David Willey’s knock of 47 and 41 set the tone for England 

Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah also took two wickets each while Prasidh Krishna took only one wicket.

With England bowlers sweeping from the very first ball, India could hardly manage to get in form. 

On one hand where Captain Rohit Sharma  and Rishabh Pant fell for a duck, Shikhar Dhawan could score only 9 off 26 balls.

Now both the teams will be looking forward to win the 3rd ODI match to name the series in their name.
