The three times IPL winners, Chennai Super Kings have derailed as they have managed to win only twice in seven games.
We all know how destructive MS Dhoni is. You wouldn’t want to bowl him. However, in this season of IPL, he has been quiet. The former Indian wicket-keeper, Syed Kirmani stated that MS Dhoni hasn’t played since India was knocked out in the Semi-finals of the World Cup and this enormous break plus his age has affected the veteran’s performance.
He said that he pities those who are blaming and criticizing him for his performance in this season.
Chennai Super Kings is not performing very well this season. After the poor performance of CSK, they are lying at the sixth position in the points table.
Fans are longing for Dhoni’s best knock. However, it has not happened yet. Dhoni is yet to hit big sixes for his team and finish the game like he used to. And we believe that we will get to see that top-class knock from him very soon. Dhoni’s storm will arrive soon.
SYED KIRMANI’S SAY ON THIS
Kirmani said that there is a span of time in the career of every cricketer where he has to go through a lot, where things don’t go the way you wish them to, similarly there is a time for every player to stop as things change eventually. And he takes pity on those who are blaming and criticizing him for his performance.
He stated that one should not forget what he has done for team India and what a great finisher he is. Moreover, he is coming back to Cricket following a long break which has affected his performance in this season.
He said that Dhoni was on break subsequent to the departure from the World Cup in semi-finals. And on Independence day MS Dhoni announced his exit from international cricket as well.
In the present season of IPL, MS Dhoni hasn’t played well and couldn’t chase the pace he used to.
Currently, MSD is at a phase where several people are left with less skill when you relate to young cricketers. Moreover, several people have ample things to look after. So it is quite obvious and everyone must ratify the facts.
CONCLUSION
Even though MS is in poor form, he is the only one who could guide CSK out of this as he has done it before.
