‘I have a problem with his kind of cricketers in white-ball cricket’: Sanjay Manjrekar on Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja , someone India can always rely in both the departments. So many times, he has won India matches with his powerful hitting in the end when all the major players were dismissed by the opposition.

He knows how to bat at the death brilliantly as he can start hitting from the ball he steps on the crease. He sees the scoreboard and creates a map in his mind about how to approach the upcoming overs.

Apart from that he is a major bowler of the team, someone who can vary his off-spin very intelligently and efficiently. He and Ashwin have been the most crucial spinners for India in the past five years as they have been very effective in all the major series.

Controversial statements:

Sanjay Manjrekar, the commentator has for the past one to two years been known for getting involved in unnecessary controversies by giving out statements that did not go well with others. In 2019 he was twice involved in a controversy, first for ‘bits and pieces’ comment on Ravindra Jadeja and later he was criticised for his spat with Harsha Bhogle.

The BCCI took note of Manjrekar’s comments and sacked him in March 2020. He made a return to the commentary box after 10 months in the India vs Australia series.

A Different Perspective:

He recently shared his experiences and principles he has learnt throughout his career and in various situations of life.

And conveys, if you have specialists who can walk-in based on one discipline, you fill your team with those players. And with this he also said that hence he doesn’t have any problems with Jadeja but players like him in white ball cricket, he doesn’t even consider Hardik Pandya to be a part of his team.

Hope you find the perspective find it real practical. Let us know your views and stay with us for more stories.
