`Hungry` Hardik Pandya becoming a good finisher for India: Virat Kohli

India’s tour of Australia has been full of uncertainties. It started with the ODI series on 27 November in Sydney and everyone hoped that it will be a competitive series with both sides tussling hard for the victory. But in the first 2 matches of the ODI series, it was all one sided in the favour of the Aussies who won both the matches and took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.

Indian bowlers were just unable to cope up with the dominance shown by Aussies batsmen. It was in the third ODI when India won the toss and decided to bat first and then because of Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja, India were able to put up a big score of 303, which India defended and won the match by 13 runs.

Performing well in the T20 series:

In the T20 series India have shown courage and vigor as they have won both the matches so far and have taken a lead of 2-0 in the 3 match series. In the first match it was Jadeja’s heroics in the end which helped India put up a respectable score of 161 and Chahal bowling helped India win the first T20.

Virat praises Pandya:

In the second T20 it was Hardik Pandya’s heroics at the death which helped India snatch the series. India needed 14 off the last over and their most reliable finisher didn’t disappoint them. Virat Kohli at the end of the match praised Hardik Pandya and he said that Pandya can turn out to be India’s finisher in the long run.
