Dean Jones died of a heart attack just a couple of weeks ago. The former Australian captain had a heart attack when he was in Mumbai, aged 59.

People from all around the world have paid their tributes to the former cricketer. Jones’ legacy will continue to grow in the history of cricket. Dean Jones’ former teammates also shared the cricketer’s life in and off the field.

Damien Fleming, a former Australian cricketer revealed that Dean Jones used to go extreme lengths to stitch up pranks to his teammates. Dean had the best sense of humour which several of his former teammates remember till now.

He mentioned that sometimes Jones used to be the man to bring in drinks and refreshments on to the field as per the requests of the players.

Fleming said that when Jones used to do batting he used to have separate gloves for different bowlers.

Jones used to stick his bowling shoes to the ceiling of the dressing room and the batting pads which were thrown in the spa. Jones was very happy listening to the heavy metal on his walkman watching the daily play.

“I’m going to give the boys a spray and then I hear this, “Deano’s waiting, he wants something… So I grab some gloves, grab a bat, and you know how big the MCG is, normally the batsman would meet you halfway to help you out.

But not this day. He’s making me run all the way to the pitch… He did have a good sense of humour.”

Well, I would bet that Dean Jones was a dollar to doughnuts that he had the best sense of humour.
