Hope Women’s T20 Challenge will inspire more girls to take up cricket: Ganguly

After witnessing some extraordinary cricket for the past 2 months in IPL 2020, we reach the closing stages of the tournament awaiting the winner of this perfectly competitive tournament. This has also set the stage for the upcoming women’s T20 challenge which will be held in UAE from November 4 to 9. Three teams are scheduled to take part in the tournament namely Trailblazers, Velocity and Supernovas.

All big Indian women’s team players such as Mithali Raj, Smriti Madhana, Harshdeep Kaur, Jhullan Goswami and many more will take part and bring to us the most competitive women cricket ever. Women cricketers from all around the world are on their way to participate in the tournament and give their best for their teams.

Tournaments like these will surely inspire the younger set of generation of women in India to participate in the sports and compete for higher and professional level of cricket. This is the first time a big sponsor like Jio has signed for the tournament.

BCCI president Sourav Ganguly said that this tournament will inspire younger generation of women to take up cricket and make their parents believe that a career in it is possible and successful. He further said that this tournament will show the way to women’s IPL in future when we have more number of players.
