Lakshmi Narayanan, of course, is no stranger to assisting talented cricketers in reaching their full potential. In the mid-2000s, he began his career as a video analyst with the Tamil Nadu Ranji squad and is now a high-performance analyst in the IPL, TNPL, Bangladesh Premier League, and many other leagues around the world.
His most visible position is with the IPL’s Chennai Super Kings. He has been with the men in yellow since the inaugural season and is an essential element of MS Dhoni’s winning machine at Chepauk. But, given his accomplishment, he also has a lot of pressure to deal with.
When asked if he would be interested in joining the Indian team, he says: “I’m content with what I’m doing right now. I have experience working with Indian U-19 and developing teams. However, if I join India, I will be unable to work in T20 leagues and travel around the world.”
