Steve Koltez, Donald MacKenzie, and Rolly Van Rappard are Gujrat Titans owner. They are co-chaired for an overseas equity firm named CVC Capital Partners. They got this deal with a bid of ₹5,625 crore.

The major talking before the 2022 IPL edition was to have two more teams participate in the league. Gujarat Titans and Lucknow SuperGiants were the new teams and it was the first time that 10 teams participated. 

The owner of Gujrat Titans might be worried that they didn’t pick the right choice of making Hardik Pandya captain after his poor performance in IPL 2021. But Hardik proved everyone wrong by winning the first title last season.

Gujrat Titans Owner Name happens to be the same as CVC Capitals for the recent IPL edition. People around the world are curious to know the Gujarat IPL Team Owner name because they were never seen in the stadium while cheering for their team. 

In 2022, the European-based company made headlines by acquiring the IPL franchise for an amount of INR 5,600 crore. This company is not limited to sports alone; it also operates in brokerage and investment banking. Under the leadership of Steve Colts, who serves as the chairman, the organisation has made significant strides in various sectors. With assets under management totaling 125 million pounds and secured commitments amounting to 157 billion pounds, as claimed by CVC, the company has established itself as a major player in the financial industry. 

In addition to their involvement in cricket by becoming GT owner, CVC Capitals has also ventured into other sports, including Formula One, rugby, football, and several other competitions. There were reports suggesting that the company had attempted to negotiate deals with the Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Delhi Capitals, but no substantial agreements materialised.

CVC Capitals’ diverse portfolio and experience in various sporting events reflect their commitment to the sports industry. This isn’t the first time Gujarat has represented itself in an IPL edition. Earlier, Gujarat Lions was announced as the replacement for two years when CSK and RR were suspended for two years. That franchise was based in Rajkot and is currently defunct. 

But then the Ahmedabad IPL Team name came in front of people, which is Gujarat Titans. Hardik Pandya got a chance to lead his team with some young and experienced stars. Shubman Gill did his job amazingly and played the perfect role of opener for his team. 

After making his team win the first IPL title, Hardik also got a chance to lead the Indian side. Again, he proved his worth and led the team on the front foot in the absence of Rohit Sharma.
