Gavaskar and Richards were my batting heroes: Sachin Tendulkar

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar on last Thursday said about his two batting heroes that’s the legendary batsman Sunil Gavaskar and West Indies destructive batsman Viv Richards. He said the time when he was young, his dad Ramesh Tendulkar was his hero in real life. 

Sachin said the time when he was playing cricket or when he was at a very young age. He always wished to become a brilliant cricketer and importantly wanted to play for his country.  

Tendulkar Heroes

Talking about his heroes he said, he has his two heroes, not from the same country, but known for their particular skill. One is our own Sunil Gavaskar the man with extraordinary skill to stay consistent. 

Gavaskar who played for team India not only in a particular format but for both limited and Test matches too for several years and performed extraordinary well.  

Along with Gavaskar, it was Viv Richards the great batsman with the amazing batting style of the West Indies. 

He added these two were his all-time batting heroes when he played cricket. However, if one would ask in general life, undoubtedly, he would say that’s his father (Ramesh Tendulkar).

As a true inspiration, he spent a good time with him and got to know about his mild, calm, and composed behavior he was a man with pure nature. 

From there it started as his dream to become like his father. 

Where Did He Say This? 

Tendulkar spoke this during the implied ceremony named the “Gift Of Life”. The ceremony that took place after 1 thousand children underwent free heart surgeries. This came true with the great efforts of the skilled doctor’s team in the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital. 

Importantly the surgeries started taking place since the pandemic hit the country, that’s truly a state where doctors were the most respected icons. 

Conclusion

Tendulkar appreciated the great effort made by the doctors and said, our doctors not only gave these kids a healthy life ahead but also an opportunity to dream big and achieve big.
