From becoming an Architecture to returning to his passion, cricket, Varun Chakravarthy’s career gets a breakthrough

In the current season of the IPL, young bowlers as well as all young batsmen. They have been playing very nicely. Some of them have even outplayed the most experienced ones.

KKR VS DC

In a game of KKR against the team who has been ruling the points table, Delhi Capitals. The Toss won by DC and they elected to field first. KKR had brought the West Indian off-spinner, Sunil Narine, into the playing XI again. KKR got an early blow of 3 wickets, one of which was the former skipper’s wicket.

Then came in Sunil Narine and he began to strike the ball excellently and he even received a good response from the other end by Nitish Rana. Both of them scored a century partnership which assisted the team to reach an enormous total of 194 runs in 20 overs.

This total was very tough to chase. Moreover, chasing in this season hasn’t been easy, has it? We have seen that a powerful team has been incapable of following the score.

VARUN CHAKRAVARTHY’S BOWLING

Subsequently, KKR came in for bowling. The young bowler, who is also an Architect took the match further away from the Capitals.

He acquired 5 wickets just by conceding 20 runs. It became very difficult for the Capitals to bat as good as Rana and Narine. Varun made it more difficult for them to win the game.

In an interview, he stated that he had been training hard and people had faith in him which motivated him. In 2015, he had a lack of money as he was freelancing and couldn’t fulfill his needs. And that’s when he agreed to return to cricket. He said that he is still an Architect and he does like working as one.

He said that he had to go through many difficulties in the previous year and that he got injured.

Chasing a total of 195 is extremely difficult to chase at Abu Dhabi, however, the skipper of DC, Shreyas, and Rishabh Pant had raised hopes for DC as they were hitting boundaries on a regular interval. However, Varun gave a breakthrough to his team and got them towards victory.

He went after Rishabh Pant and got his wicket. Following his wicket, he took out the skipper of DC and the West Indian batsmen, Shimron Hetmeyer on back to back deliveries. Then got the wicket of Australian all-rounder, Marcus Stoinis before dismissing the all-rounder, Axar Patel.

Stay tuned for more such Cricket news.
