England defeated the Netherlands on Wednesday in the 3rd ODI contested at VRA Cricket Ground in Amstelveen by eight wickets and sealed the series by 3-0.
The Netherlands won the toss and chose to bat first. They managed to score 244 runs in 50 overs while England chased the target given by them in the 31st over itself.
Jason Roy and Jos Buttler made a 163-run partnership to take England to win sparing 119 balls.
England who won the yesterday match completed a whitewash over the Netherlands by winning all three matches.
England has been fans’ favorite but completing the chase within 31 overs was something remarkable.
Roy and Salt were approximately scoring nine runs per over. However Salt and Malan got out in 10th over itself after Paul van Meekeren entered the game and dismissed them.
But Jason Roy and Jos Buttler didn’t give up and continued to score at a good pace. They added 163 runs for their team in 121 deliveries.
Roy made his 10th one-day international hundred in Amstelveen by scoring 101 not out. And Buttler smashed an unbeaten 86.
Roy hit 15 boundaries in his unbeaten 101 off 86 deliveries. And Buttler smashed seven fours and five sixes in his 86 not out from 64 balls.
Three batters Edward, Max O’Dowd, and Bas de Leede helped the host to make runs by scoring more than 50 each.
However, they were guilty of not being able to carry their side further.
