Great news for the Pakistani Cricket fans, Pakistan will host England next year in October. Both teams will play two T-20 internationals in Karachi on October 14 and 15 in 2021 as confirmed by the England and Whales Cricket Board (ECB) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

The England team will visit Pakistan after 16 years!

Finally ending the whole dilemma, ECB has agreed to send England men’s cricket team to Pakistan in the year 2021. Earlier due to the busy schedule of the England Cricket Team, the ECB asked PCB to shift the tour to 2022 but PCB refused the offer. ECB even offered to send a ‘C’ team of England as the main players will be busy and again PCB refused to do so.

Now, England will be playing two T-20 matches in Pakistan in October month of 2021. It should be noted that England will visit Pakistan soil after a long term of 16 years. The last time when England visited Pakistan was 2005 where they played three test matches and five one-day internationals. After that due to security reasons, England then toured UAE which is a temporary home for Pakistan in 2012 and 2015.

ECB has agreed to a busy schedule Calendar for the men’s team. England will tour Sri Lanka and India at the starting of the year. After that many players will leave to play for their respected franchise. And then after touring Pakistan, both the teams will leave for India on the 16th of October for the T-20 World Cup which is supposed to be held in India.

Chief executive officer of ECB Tom Harrison said on this occasion that he is glad to announce that the England team will be touring Pakistan after a long tenure of 16 years in October next year. It is a significant moment for both the cricket-loving nations.

He added that ECB has strong relations with PCB and after a chat; it is decided to ensure a safe return of international cricket in Pakistan who has passionate fans. The series will lead the team to the preparation for the T-20 World Cup.

It should be kept in mind that England had already agreed to play a test series in Pakistan in 2022, but on the request of PCB, England agreed to tour Pakistan to support Cricket in the country. PCB’s chief executive Wasim Khan is also delighted to confirm the tour.

It is good to see cricket returning in Pakistan. Now, their fans will enjoy the tough contest in their home.
