England Announce Squad For The World T20

The England announced their squad for the prestigious World T20 to be played from 23rd October in the United Arab Emirates. One of the best all-rounders, Ben Stokes will not take in the tournament as he is on an indefinite break from international cricket.

England team will be led by Eoin Morgan. They have a strong batting unit comprising of explosive hitters like Jason Roy, Jos Buttler, Jonny Bairstow, Eoin Morgan who can change the course of the game with his power-hitting.

The left-arm pacer, Tymal Mills makes a comeback into the team. Jofra Archer has also been ruled of the World T20 due to an injury. England has been in sensational form winning series at home against Sri Lanka by 0-3 and then outplayed Pakistan by 1-2. With the experience they would gain from the Indian Premier League, England are one of the favourites to lift title.

Under the captaincy of Morgan, England lost a closely contested 5 match T20I series in India by 2-3. They would be looking to go one step ahead as they reached the finals of the World T20 2016 played in India eventually losing to champions West Indies.

England has one of the best batting lines up in the world and destroys any bowling lineup. They are placed with West Indies, South Africa, Australia and 2 qualifiers in Group 1 of Super 12’s.

The England Cricket T20I side lacks some quality in the pace department but to experience in the batting lineup, they can do damage and make life tough for opposition bowlers.
