Cricket and corruption:
Cricket is a gentleman’s game and it is very unfortunate to see when cases of corruption or spot-fixing come are reported. It damages the soul of the game and is very harsh on the fans that support their team with love and affection.
There have been many instances over the years where reports of corruption and spot-fixing popped up.
The two most famous incidents of spot-fixing were the three Pakistan cricketers caught in spot-fixing in a match vs England and the IPL incident where three Indian players were caught in spot-fixing including Sreesanth and we’re banned forever since.
Also, there have been instances of corruption as Mr. Kejriwal( CM of Delhi) alleged that DDCA was involved in corruption under Arun Jaitley’s leadership and there was a mismanagement of 94 crores when Farooq Abdullah was the president of JKCA.
ED takes action:
The enforcement directorate (ED) questioned Mr. Farooq Abdullah, the former CM of Jammu and Kashmir, and chairman of JKCA on Monday. Officials said he will be questioned under the prevention of money laundering act.
However, his son Omar Abdullah tweeted that it is a political vendetta in order to weaken the voice of Kashmir which is demanding to revoke article 370 back.
