Delhi Capitals Applauds Shardul Thakur After He Pickup Crucial Wickets Via Twitter

With a match-winning effort with the ball at Queen’s Park Oval in the first ODI, Shardul Thakur made a great return to the Indian ODI team.

The much-remembered all-rounder delivered two significant blows for the guests as West Indies was on its way to a 300+ chase.

And this significant blow was appreciated by Delhi CApitals by their tweet

Just when the West Indies appeared to be well in control of the match, Shardul Thakur gained possession of the ball and, in his customary fashion, single-handedly put India in the driver’s seat.

The all-first rounder’s victim was Brooks, who was seduced by a short ball outside of the stumps before pulling it directly down Shreyas Iyer’s throat at deep square leg.

Just four runs separated the 33-year-old from reaching his fifty-run mark, but “Lord” Thakur was not finished.

Another wide ball lured Mayers into a drive in his very next over, but it found a thick edge and slid into Sanju Samson’s gloves without any trouble.

India appears to be the only likely winner going forward despite their current struggles as the necessary run rate has increased to about 8 runs per over, largely due to Shardul Thakur.
