But not all think in this way as many young fellow Cricket players have left their faculties to pursue cricket as their careers.
Many cricketers have also admitted that due to their passion for the game, they decided to leave their studies and focus only on cricket and, for some cricket players that decision turned out to be a masterstroke in their lives.
Now, these cricketers have achieved some greater heights in the game and there are also some players who were good at studies. But they also left their education to pursue Cricket as a full-time position.

Amay Khursia – IAS – Amay Khursia might be identified as an Indian Cricketer. Amy didn’t get many possibilities to prove himself on the field. But he was the most trained cricketers in India. Before he got selected in the Indian team, Amay had passed the IAS exam and obtained his degree. The former Indian cricketer made their debut during ODI in 1999-2001. When he moved to Bangalore at the age of 18, KL took a degree in commerce from Shri Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain College. Earlier Rahul went to BTK English medium school in Karnataka. But he pursued his main passion and represented India for many series and tournament.
Suresh Raina – Even Suresh Raina has a degree in commerce and many of us might be surprised by this fact. Raina was the best middle-order batsman for India in the limited over format and a key member of the CSK squad. He graduated in B.Com from his home town in Uttar Pradesh.

Rahul Dravid – The former Indian cricketer and captain Rahul Sharad Dravid was the finest player alongside many stalwarts of Indian cricket. Dravid always played for the team’s cause. He scored more than ten thousand runs in Test and ODI format. Dravid is the gentleman of the game and that may be because of the culture and education he received.

The Wall holds a degree in Commerce and did his MBA from St Joseph College in Bangalore. He completed his schooling at St Joseph Boys High school. Dravid had a successful career as a player and captain. India couldn’t qualify for the superbright stage in 2097 under Rahul Dravid’s leadership. But that had also to do a lot with the coaching of Greg Chapell. Under Dravid’s leadership, India won the Test series in Pakistan, West Indies and England. India also won their first-ever Test match in South Africa as well. Now Dravid is guiding the younger team as head coach of NCA.

VVS Laxman – The man from Hyderabad was also good in his studies as he was brilliant in cricket. Laxman was the one who took on the tough team like Australia and guided India to memorable wins. His parents are physicians. VVS completed his schooling at Little Flower High School. His initial aim was to become a doctor. But later he realised that his passion for Cricket is more than anything else. So he quit that and he pursued his dream. Lexi made their debut against The Proteas in 1996 and he had a successful career in test cricket and also in ODIs. Now taxi is the expert and commentator with Star Sports India.

Avishkar Salvi – This fast bowler from the Indian Team player the Ranji Trophy for Delhi and IPL for the same state. But he didn’t make it to the national squad. But he ends the list as a qualified Indian cricket player. Salvi has a PhD degree in astrophysics.
