DC Opener Prithvi Shaw Discharged From Hospital

Competition is increasing rapidly among all the teams to reach the playoffs in IPL 2022 . Meanwhile, good news has come out for Delhi Capitals (DC). Prithvi Shaw was missing in the last few matches to open with David Warner.

Actually he was hospitalized due to typhoid but now he has been discharged from the hospital and it is expected that he will open with Warner in the next match.

Shaw will return to the team

Delhi Capitals opening batsman Prithvi Shaw was not playing in the last few matches. Actually he was admitted to the hospital due to typhoid and was undergoing treatment there. But now he has returned from the hospital, on which the DC issued a statement saying-

“DC opener Prithvi Shaw has been discharged from the hospital where he was undergoing treatment for typhoid. Shaw has now returned from the hospital and is now under the supervision of doctors.”

Earlier, the team’s assistant coach Shane Watson had indicated that DC’s young opening batsman Prithvi Shaw has been ruled out of the remaining matches of IPL 2022.

Shaw succumbed to typhoid

Opener Prithvi Shaw missed all three matches against Sunrisers Hyderabad, CSK and Rajasthan Royals after playing against Lucknow SuperGiants on 1 May.

After which on May 8, an Instagram post by Shaw revealed that he had fever and was admitted to the hospital. Shaw has scored 259 runs in 9 matches this season at an average of 28.78, including 2 half-centuries.

Hopes of reaching playoff remain intact

DC is doing very well in IPL 2022. So far this team has won 6 in 12 matches, with 12 points and remains at number five with points. There is still hope to go to the playoffs.

Under the captaincy of Rishabh Pant, DC will play their next match against Punjab Kings on Monday, after which they are going to play their last match against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede on May 21. Whether DC will be able to join the race for the playoffs after winning both their matches, it will be known only after the match
