Cricket NDTV Appreciates Navdeep Saini For His Five Wicket Haul On His County Debut

Navdeep Saini, an Indian bowler who has fallen down the selection ladder for the national side, is enjoying his debut in the County Championship for Kent after picking up a 5-wicket haul against Warwickshire at Edgbaston in Birmingham.

In his first County five-for, the right-arm seamer dismissed Chris Benjamin, Dan Mousley, Michael Burgess, Henry Brookes, and Craig Miles as Kent bowled Warwickshire out for 225 in their first innings after being skittled out for 165.

After getting appreciation for his fifer from the fans, Saini gets admired for his five-wicket haul from CricketNDTV as they tweet about his fifer.

Navdeep Saini made headlines on his competition debut with Kent on Wednesday, returning 5-72 against Warwickshire, only days after signing a contract to play in the County Championship.

He is the fifth Indian player to earn a contract to participate in the tournament this year. The Indians are still shining in England thanks to Saini’s most recent feats of bravery.

In the current Division One match against Warwickshire, Team India pacer Navdeep Saini made his County Championship debut for Kent and finished with a five-wicket haul.

On an interesting note, Team India all-rounder Washington Sundar, who was playing for Lancashire on the same day, returned with a five-wicket haul in his first County encounter.

Saini, meanwhile, was signed by Kent last week and will represent the squad in three County Championship and five Royal London Cup games.

Returning to the Kent vs Warwickshire County Championship Division One match, Saini had the highest wicket total for the side in the second innings, returning with the figures of 5/72 in 18 overs.

In their first batting innings, Kent reduced Warwickshire to 225/10 in 85.1 overs thanks to his precise bowling performance.

In the third innings of the game, Kent, who had earlier scored 165 runs in the first innings, was at 198/4 in 63 overs.
