South Australia has witnessed a spike in Covid-19 ahead of India’s tour to Australia. To stop the pandemic from wrecking up the summers in Australia, Cricket Australia has left with no option than to rush the players to New South Wales.

To avoid any interruption and to ensure the safety of the players, the governing body is keeping its eyes on everything.

‘Hopeful Cricket will go ahead’ said Steve Marshall

India’s tour of Australia is currently under the clouds of the Corona pandemic. Due to the outbreak of Covid-19 in South Australia, the first test’s host is on the verge of getting replaced. Though the governing bodies have cleared that the host for the first test in Adelaide, will not be shifted only if the cases get controlled but if not, we will see a change.

Significantly, Adelaide is the host of the day-night test between the two heavy sides. The city is observing an increase in cases of coronavirus along with the whole of South Australia. All the players will arrive in the city on the 10th of December ahead of their first test.

South Australia premier Steve Marshall believes that the situation will become favorable to play. He is hoping for a rise in cricket. Though, he added that he hasn’t contacted the CA regarding the issue.

Cricket Australia is looking for an alternate if the conditions become awful. Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) which hasn’t hosted any pink ball test is being seen as an option. The MCG will also host the boxing day test.

Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) has also lent its hand to CA regarding the issue. Though, SCG believes that there will be no need of u them in the future as Adelaide has better contact tracing and testing facilities. Moreover, they added that they are ready to help in many instances.

Cricket Australia has immediately put restrictions on players traveling from South Australia. South Australia Cricket Association has postponed the Big Bash League matches to be played in Adelaide city.

Western Australia, Queensland and Tasmania has also put more restriction on the travelers from South Australia ahead of the one-day international series between India and Australia starting from 27th of November. As per the restrictions and rules, Australian Test Skipper has put himself in the isolation in Tasmania.

Cricket Australia has issued an advisory for all the players to not visit the hot-spots area of covid-19.

Cricket Australia is concerned about the players and taking every possible action to forestall the pandemic. What do you think about the preparations from CA ahead of the tour? Let us know.
