Credit to Rahul Dravid for sometimes outdoing ‘gifted’ Sachin Tendulkar: Ramiz Raja

Rahul Dravid, born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh is also known as the Wall is a former Indian Cricketer, and captain of the Indian Cricket Team made his debut with fantastic but heart-breaking 95 at Lord’s.

Dravid has been one of India’s greatest match winners who created an ideal position in a team where it had some extremely talented cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar.

Dravid is a right-handed batsman and basically a Sachin from the ’90s. He did so much for cricket not just in terms of cricket but also as a captain of the team.

Rahul Dravid was the best in the world in terms of handling the first part of no.3 batsman job which is to shield the stroke makers from the new ball.

Dravid was aware of his talent and knowing he might never match up to Sachin’s level, he still maintained his consistency and winning spirits for his team and this quality is what the Former Pakistan Cricketer Captain Ramiz Raja is a Big Fan of.

Sachin Tendulkar

Ramiz Raja in an interview with Indraneil Basu praised the legendary Dravid about how he even surpassed Sachin Tendulkar sometimes with his outstanding performance and hard work towards the team.

But still, Dravid’s whole career remained Unacknowledged where he always worked hard towards the team’s success and the credit was given to someone else and the humble cricketer managed to walk with his evergreen smile.

His Versatile nature, outstanding performances, countless innings of fame, the list is very long.

In a team, where the Cricket board had a star performer like Sachin, sorcerer like Laxman, geniuses like Dhoni and Sehwag, and the Turbulent Sourav Ganguly, Indian Team needed some stability and that was none other than Rahul Dravid itself, the stabilizer.

With this Dravid has always been to the Indian Team.

Maybe he was not as talented as Sachin Tendulkar but he knew how to compete and survive where he is not appreciated as others even after putting every effort possible and still not become the best batsman.

Ramiz Raja said Rahul Dravid has been an outstanding batsman on the tough pitch as his defense was rock solid and also because of his attitude.

Rahul Dravid has always been a selfless Cricketer, meaning he could do anything as far as it makes his team win like he could do innings if someone was not in form or injured, could do wicketkeeping if the situation demanded and that is why is he is the most respected cricketer in the history of games.

Someone who is being loved by all for his attitude, his skills, discipline, the toughness of spirit, and last but not least his outstanding performances internationally. Dravid never let the team spirit go down in tough situations.

Rahul Dravid has always been a perfect example of a successful person if one has the ultimate desire to achieve anything. Despite his innumerable batting achievements, the 47-year old cricketer is known for his commitment towards his team, which is commendable.

He played his last ODI in 2011 and is now the Director of Cricket Operations at National Cricket Academy, Bengaluru where he also monitors the progress of India A and Under-19 Indian Teams.
