The world’s most popular T20 cricket league is scheduled to start on March 26. However, the Chennai Super Kings are still awaiting a report from the National Cricket Academy, where Deepak Chahar is undergoing treatment. Chennai bought Deepak Chahar for Rs 14 crore. He has been the second most expensive player in the IPL this year after Ishaan Kishan.
Chahar suffered a right quadriceps injury in the third T20 match against the West Indies in Kolkata on February 20. As a result, he was dropped from the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka. The Indian team, led by Rohit Sharma, won the series 3-0 against the West Indies and Sri Lanka.
Deepak has taken ten wickets in seven ODIs and 26 wickets in 20 T20 matches in his short international career. Deepak can also make a valuable contribution to the lower order with the bat.
He has scored two half-centuries in ODIs, with an unbeaten 69 being his highest score. IPL-2022 will be played in India from March 26 to May 29. Earlier, the board had also left the option of playing IPL outside India this year if Corona’s case escalates.
