Cadbury, the famous chocolate company became the support partner of the Australian women’s cricket team on 25th September 2020.
The Australian women’s cricket team has achieved many great heights in the previous year especially winning back-to-back T20 world Cups with the latest one coming on 8th March 2020 (which is also the international women’s day) in front of the biggest cricket stadium in the world, the Melbourne cricket ground (MCG) which had a record attendance of 86,174 Australian fans cheering and boosting their women’s team.
Women athlete empowerment:
Cadbury is actively participating in increasing women’s participation in sports in Australia and giving young girls progressive and diverse role models to follow.
To support the progress of current women athletes and even inspire the upcoming generation, Cadbury has decided to partner with four women from different sports which also including Australian fast bowler Tayla Vlaeminck.
A good step:
Meg Panning, the Australian women’s team captain said that it was exciting that a brand like Cadbury was supporting the team and women’s sport and she looks forward to helping future generations get into cricket.
