5 Best Bowlers Who Will Be Difficult To Hit For Runs In T20 World Cup 2021

The Best Bowler In The World T20 international World Cup has been begun and so far, 6 matches have been played. The matches are being played in the United Arab Emirates and Oman hosted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India. The tournament was initially planned to be played in Australia in 2020.

Due to increasing cases of Covid-19 all over the world, the tournament got postponed. Later ICC changed the venue to India for 2021. However, the Coronavirus cases have increased in the country and there are chances of a third wave. Hence, the venue got shifted again and finalized to UAE and Oman.

Before World Cup, the Indian Premier League was also played in UAE and the tournament was a success. The tournament just ended on 15th October and from the 17th, World Cup started. The knock-out round of the league will be played from 10th November and the finals are planned to be played on 14th.

The pitches in the UAE stadiums are a bit different and are expected to slow down. The pitches have been continuously used in the IPL. It will be a huge advantage for the bowlers. Even in the IPL, we did not see any big score of more than 200 runs by any team, so we are hoping that scores in the shortest format of the game might not increase much. It will be a good opportunity for the bowlers to show their true potential in the game. We have listed five of such bowlers who might be the trouble makers for the batsmen.

5 Most Difficult Bowlers To Hit For Batsmen

  • Varun Chakravarthy – First on the list of young and new talent from India. Varun is a player whom we should keep an eye on. He is one of the top T20 ranking bowler and the variations he got in the bowling can confuse some great batsmen. He is one of the best bowlers out here when it comes to spin. In the IPL this season, he was exceptional. He did very well there and is in full form to show the same performance in the world cup too. He has played 14 T20 matches in his life and he has taken 18 wickets. His best T20 bowling figure is 5 wickets for 20 runs. It will be the first World Cup of his career and we are hoping to see some of his best performances there.
  • Jasprit Bumrah – Another Indian player, Jasprit Bumrah is one of the best bowler in the world of all time. He is outstanding and undoubtedly he is the best yorker bowler that the Indian team has ever got. No matter what the situations are, he can outperform anyone. Either it’s power play or it’s the death overs, he can put on a show. He was one of the highest wicket-takers in the IPL. He has played 50 T20 international matches and he took 59 wickets. He has played 24 test matches in his career and he picked 101 wickets. He is surely a reliable payer and we expect he will be a trouble for the batsmen in the tournament.
  • Rashid Khan – Rashid Khan is a revolutionary player from Afghanistan. He came in as a fortune maker for the team. He is considered as the no 1 t20 bowler and if we see his past performances, we can surely say he is the best bowler in the world. He was the top wicket-taker in the IPL and hopefully, he will maintain his lead in the world cup too. We have always seen his best performance from T20 cricket and his unique deliveries will surely confuse the batsmen. We have seen the batsmen fail to understand his deliveries in past. The young talent is surely going to destroy batsmen in the world cup.
  • Lockie Ferguson – Next on the list is a bowler from New Zealand and the best fast bowler they got. He impressed everyone in the IPL this year and he has got the same pitch for the world cup too. Best bowler in the world of all time He is one of the bowlers who are in complete form and is surely going to dominate the game. He has played just 13 T20 international matches in his career and he has picked up 24 wickets, almost 2 wickets every match. His best T20I figure is 5 wickets for 21 runs. We believe he will be a concern for the batsmen.
  • Anrich Nortje – Last but not least, we have the South African hero Anrich Nortje, one of the fastest bowlers out there. Nortje is considered one of the best swing bowler out there. He can easily bowl at a speed of 150 km/hr. He played a very vital role in the IPL for Delhi Capitals and hopefully, he will play the same in the world cup too. There is no other player in the IPL to break Nortje’s record of bowling the fastest delivery.

Who do you think will cause the most trouble for batsmen in the tournament.?
