4th June 1991 marks the day in history with an English all-rounder coming to life. Champion of World Cup 2019 was born in New Zealand but was moved to England at the age of 12 after his father, a Rugby league player and coach was posted head coach at the Workington Town rugby league club.
Growing up in the small town of Cockermouth he won the North Lancashire & Cumbria Cricket League Premier Division title at the age of 15.
Within a month of making his first international appearance in One Day Internationals for England against Ireland, he featured in an International T20 against West Indies.
Two years later he made his Test debut in the Ashes 2013-14 edition. He has played 79 tests accomplishing 5061 runs and 101 ODI accomplishing 2871 runs, all for England. He has flourished in all formats with a strike rate of 130 plus in the shortest format.
