BCCI’s plea for reduced quarantine in Australia likely to be dismissed

As the IPL is going on, all players are busy in the games. The league has already reached the crucial stage. 

Following the IPL, India is going to take on against Australia on Australian soil. So, all the players will be flown to Australia for the tournaments. The non-IPL players will initially fly to Dubai where they’ll undergo quarantine and then the whole Indian team will together fly to Australia. 

Earlier, the BCCI president had requested to reduce the duration of quarantine in Brisbane. If the request is dismissed, the Indian team along with all other coaching staff may have to go through the quarantine as per the policy.

In the tournament of England against West Indies and then against Pakistan. As the tournaments were held in England. All of them had to go through Quarantine for two weeks. 

The Board in Queensland is organizing itself to stick to the safety procedures. To make a more protected atmosphere for everyone. This has led to a delay in rescheduling the series by Cricket Australia for its summer.

The BCCI is finding a way for an altered isolation time and the BCCI wants the Cricketers to be permitted to equip in a bio-secure bubble instead of staying inside their hotel rooms as the BCCI believes it might affect the fitness of the team.

BCCI stated that they anticipate a decrease in the duration of the isolation phase. And they don’t want their players to just rest in their rooms. This phase is very disappointing and they are glancing at the altered quarantine so that they could train

 According to the report BCCI has requested that a large squad along with coaching staff and other staff as well as their families to arrive in Brisbane.

The board of health in Queensland is currently looking into the request which was proposed by the BCCI. And that started that they would be working along with the team to assess the request. 

The Indian team has planned to fly to the Australian soil subsequent to the IPL and the team will consist of 23-25 cricketers through all the formats. 

The quad test series is set to begin on 17th December 2020.
