BCCI Request The England Cricket Board To Prepone The Test Series By A Week That Can Help The Indian Board To Conduct The Remaining Of The IPL 2021 Season

India will travel to England to play the World Test Championship final against New Zealand at Ages Bowl in Southampton on June 18th, 2021. Then Virat and his men play the five-match series against England from August 4th, 2021, at Trent Bridge.

Now the BCCI has requested the England Cricket Board to shift the Test series by a week which will help the Indian Board to complete the remaining matches of the IL 2021 season.

The 14th edition of this cash-rich league tournament was postponed after 29 matches, and still, 31 matches are yet to be played.

The India Board, BCCI, inquired about preponing the last test match of England’s summer to host the remainder of the IPL 14 edition. Now both the boards are in informal discussions after the COVID 19 had stopped the IPL season midway.

India will have a six-week gap after they play their World Test Championship Final match against New Zealand from June 18th to June 22nd, 2021. The start of the Test series against England is August 4th. In this period, the Indian Board is planning to play the reminder matches of the IPL.

But that will not be possible because the other Indian team will tour Sri Lanka for the white ball series. India Vs Sri Lanka series consists of three matches in T20I format and the 50 over format.
