BCCI postponed the IPL 2021 season till the next appropriate date

The Indian Premier League 2021 season has been postponed with immediate effect. The IPL governing council and the Board of Control for Cricket in India had an emergency meeting. They have decided to postpone this season until they find another suitable date.

The decision is taken to keep the players’ health, safety, and well-being and support staff in mind. The BCCI and the IPL governing council don’t want to compromise on the safety of the members participating in this cash-rich league tournament.

The Indian Board, BCCI has released an official statement that India is currently facing a difficult time. The BCCI members wanted to bring some positivity and cheer in such a tangy situation. But now, they will have to postpone the tournament to reach back safely to their families and loved ones in such torrid times.

The BCCI has thanked its sponsors, partners, health workers, state associations, players, support staff, and the audience who watched every IPL game from home.

They said that without their full support, the IPL 2021 season would not have been possible, and that too in such a difficult time.

Now the BCCI will arrange safe and secure travel of all its participants of this IPL season.
