BCCI making efforts to ensure series is held in India

India vs England is always a treat to watch and this series is known for breaking many records whether it is held in England or India.

This time it is scheduled to be held in India and there’ll be 5 tests, 3 one-day internationals, and 3 T20 internationals between the two great teams.

The COVID scenario:

Currently, India has an alarming Covid-19 situation where the total number of cases has crossed 60 Lakhs and more than 95 thousand people have lost their lives. Hence it is still not sure whether the matches could be played in India or not.

What Ganguly said:

Addressing the media, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly said that the priority was to conduct the matches on Indian grounds but it could take place in UAE too as there the virus count is much less than in India.

He further said that the past 6 months had been hard for everyone and it was tough to keep everything in order. He said we want cricket to happen and lives to get back to normal but we have to beware of the virus as players are involved and their health has to be addressed.

About the domestic season, he said that the BCCI was monitoring it and they had all the combinations and situations in their minds and that they’ll try their best to make it happen.
