BCCI likely to allow 50 percent of total crowd attendance for the upcoming England Tests

During the upcoming four-Test matches series BCCI brass is seriously considering with permitting only 50 percent crowd attendance. This 50 percent of attendance will be calculated as per the total capacity of the stadium in both Chepauk and the newly constructed Motera Stadium looking after the safety measures that must be taken in this pandemic scenario.

As per the schedule released by BCCI the first two Test matches will be played at Chepauk in Chennai from 5th of February. While the next two Test matches will be played at Motera in Ahmedabad which just got a new look recently.

BCCI further confirmed that they will be allowing a cue from Cricket Australia as because they all also had allowed entry of spectators during the India series.

However, at now BCCI asked for the fluid public health situation report and asked to keep an eye on this due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. In case the result isn’t satisfying with Chennai or Ahmedabad as per the BCCI guidelines then a change in decision might also likely to happen.

Some sources claiming that if BCCI allowing 50 percent crowd with taking care of all necessary precautions then this might clear the way for spectators in IPL.

The large cricket stadium of Ahmedabad will face no difficulty if the crowd is allowed to follow social distancing at each spot.

This is all we know from the report from BCCI confirming that 50 percent of crowd capacity will be allowed for India vs England Test series. Do you have any queries regarding this? Fell free to contact us.
