BCCI: IPL 2021 to be Held in India

After the successful hosting of the Mushtaq Ali T tournament BCCI is all set to host some more tournaments. The One Tournament for women and Vijay Hazare Trophy followed by the IPL. The Mushtaq Ali tournament was the first domestic tournament of the last year since March.

According to the BCCI the Fourteenth season of the IPL is to be held in India. They have also included some new stadiums and venues for IPL such as Sardar Patel Stadium which is located in Motera Ahmedabad, this stadium can also host knockout matches.

The last season of the Indian Premier League was held in UAE due to Covid-19 pandemic and it continued for over Fifty-Four days.

After 87 years this is this first instance when the Board of control for cricket in India has declared to not to host Ranji Trophy, in place of Ranji they will be hosting One day tournament for Women and the Vijay Hazare Trophy while the Indian team is all set to face England in four Tests, three ODI and five T20I.

This will we the beginning of a new chapter for cricket after the pandemic in India, both national and international fixtures are going to take place and also the upcoming IPL is all set to start from the second week of April and end in around the first week of June.

BCCI is also introducing one more franchise for the Indian Premier League, however this team is only available to play from the next season.

The T20 world cup is also going to happen in India soon this year.
