The son of legendary Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, Arjun Tendulkar is already making people amaze with his batting and bowling skills. The kid smashed 77 runs in 31 balls and took three wickets for 41 runs in a match against Islam Gymkhana. Arjun was playing for the MIG Cricket Club team in the 73rd Police Invitation Shield Cricket Tournament which took place the last Sunday.
The match was held by the Mumbai Cricket Association and it was the first cricket tournament to happen after the Covid-19 pandemic.
Talking about Arjun’s score, he hit eight sixes and five fours with a total score of 77 runs in just 31 balls. Out of the eight sixes that he smashed, five were hit against bowler Hashir Dafedar in a single over. It was non only the Arjun who played the best, the other team members also performed brilliantly including Kevin D’Almeida who scored 96 runs, and Pragnesh Kandillewar who hit 112 runs. In the bowling also, Arjun took 3 wickets for 31 runs while Shreyas Gurav also took 3 wickets for 34 runs.
The team MIG won the toss and chose to bat first. The team scored 385 runs in 45 overs with the loss of 7 wickets. The other team, Islam Gymkhana got all out in 41.5 overs with just 191 runs which made MID win the match for 194 runs.
Before this match, Arjun played in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He will also be playing in the Indian Premier League this year. Though which team will he play for is not finalized yet as the auctions are yet to take place on the 18th of this month.
