Abhinav Bindra has questioned the Indian cricket board, BCCI, how they can organize an event like IPL when the whole country is down with a virus-like COVID 19? The players and the officials of the BCCI cannot stay in their bio bubble and ignore what is happening in the country.
Due to the second wave of COVID 19, the death toll has increased in the country, and it has been a huge blow to the country’s rise. In the last 24 hours, many patients from all over the country have lost their lives due to this deadly virus.
Abhinav Bindra is quite concerned about what is happening all over India due to its deadly CoVID 19 virus. In a column of Indian Express, Bindra has said that The BCCI officials and the Cricket players cannot be deaf and dumb on the hazardous situation which is going on outside.
He feels that the celebrations should be muted and everything should be less as it should show respect to the society.
The Shooter, Abhinav Bindra, won the Olympic gold for India in 2008. He said that everyone should show kindness which would help the individual and the country to heal.
The virus will not go tomorrow, and it will be a hard ride with no surety of what and how it will be the end. So he enraged the people to be tough in these challenging situations.
Before the IPL 2021 started, Devdutt Paddikal, Axar Patel, and some of the staff members of the teams also tested positive for the COVID 19 virus.
But they were healed because of the support. BCCI has hosted 19 matches of this season so far with no problems. The tournament is being played under closed doors without the live audiences.
The officials and players go through the COVID 19 tests regularly and stay in the bio bubble as a safety measure.
