AB de Villiers Will Return To RCB In IPL 2023

AB de Villiers has retired from cricket but still, he remains in discussions. Last year, he also announced his retirement from IPL, after which he did not appear in IPL 2022.

However, it was reported in the middle that AB de Villiers could join the RCB team but nothing like this happened. It is now expected that de Villiers can join RCB in the next season. This has been disclosed by AB himself but it is not clear in which role he will be seen.

De Villiers Will Be Seen In RCB Camp Next Year

While talking to VUSport, AB de Villiers revealed that he has not yet decided in which role he will be seen next year but it is certain that he will definitely be seen in the IPL next year.

He said, “I don’t know what role I will play but I am missing the IPL. Certainly, some matches will be played next year at my second home, Chinnaswamy and I would love to be involved. I would like to see the Chinnaswamy Stadium fully filled.”

RCB Inducted Into Hall Of Fame

More recently, the RCB franchise has inducted AB de Villiers into their ‘Hall of Fame. This is the first time a franchise has inducted a player into the Hall of Fame. Apart from de Villiers, Chris Gayle has also been given this honour. When this was announced, Mr 360 Degrees was associated with the franchise in a virtual way. In the virtual meeting, it was announced that de Villiers and Gayle would be honoured at Chinnaswamy next year.

AB Retired Last Year

Significantly, after the end of IPL 2021, AB de Villiers announced his retirement from IPL. While announcing his retirement, he had said that now he is not feeling that agile at the age of 37 and that is the reason why he is retiring. At the same time, de Villiers had said goodbye to international cricket in the year 2018.
