7 More Pakistan Cricketers Test Positive for Coronavirus.

With an England test series and T20, it is a matter of concern for Pakistan as several more players are found Corona Positive.

As per Pakistan confirmation in media, the England tour is on and there are no such plans to cancel the same despite most of the team testing positive for coronavirus.

Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Rizwan, Wahab Riaz, Imran Khan, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Hasnain, and Kashif Bhatti were all diagnosed with the virus.

The total number of infected players and support staff count who have tested positive has reached a total of 35 as confirmed in an official statement by the PCB.

The PCB stated that a total of 35 players and support staff members were tested for the virus ahead of their England tour of which 10 players and one support staff personnel have tested positive.

Wasim Khan who is the Pakistan Cricket Board CEO said one of the support staff members named masseur Malang Ali, had also been found positive for COVID-19.

Apart from these, there were seven more Pakistan cricketers who have the infection.

Muhammad Hafeez and Wahab Riaz who are selected for the tour of England too have tested positive for Corona Virus with a count rising to 10, the PCB statement on Tuesday. “It is not a great situation to be in and what it shows is these are 10 fit and young athletes…if it can happen to players it can happen to anyone,” Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) CEO, Wasim Khan to media in a press conference.

He said fresh tests would be carried out on 25th June in Lahore for the members who are not positive where the announced team would gather and post that fresh names would be added so that the squad could leave on 28th June 2020 this month.

He also added that instead of panicking they should work on the resolution as they still have time in hand.

As of now, senior cricketer Shoiab Malik, Bowling Coach Waqar Younis, and physiotherapist Cliffe Deacon have not undergone the test. It would be a tough call if these get tested positive.

Something which is interesting and needs attention is that all the 35 members were asymptomatic before being tested.

The action plan for the players who are under the threat will be practicing quartine at their homes. Meanwhile, other support staff will be undergoing the second round on 25th June in Lahore.

Also, to keep everyone safe, the cycle of testing will be continuing for the players and support staff who will be clearing the second round once they will depart to Manchester under ECB Medical Panel

That’s all from the cricket news. We shall keep you posted with updates.
