Mohammad Irfan Jr, the Pakistani 25-year-old cricketer, who is known for his distinctive bowling action, called it quits from all forms of cricket. The cricketer had gone through a major overhaul due to their poor performances in the last few years.
The PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) had structured a competitive domestic cricket for the year 2019-20. This new structure had more focus on the quality of the cricket played by youngsters.

This formation of the new structure seems to build more pressure and the isn’t being able to fulfill its objectives. The new structure which was supposed to build the morale and motivation of the new players has left several players disheartened.
Mohammad Irfan Jr. was one of the players who had called it quits from all forms of cricket at the age of 25.

He took the decision when PCB had constantly snubbed him from Southern Punjab’s First XI. Md. Irfan Jr. had been a part of PSL (Pakistan Super League) where he had represented himself for three different franchises – Lahore Qalandars, Karachi Kings, and Quetta Gladiators.
The aspiring cricketer was ignored by the PCB from the main 11 and was offered a place in the second 11.
Veteran Pakistani Cricketer MD Hafeez reacted
The news reached the ears of the former Pakistani cricketer Md. Hafeez who took to his official twitter handle and expressed his disappointment at Irfan’s retirement. The former Pakistani cricketer also urged Irfan to reconsider his decision and advised him to follow his dreams.
